How we met:

Narrator : Once upon a time, not too long ago, there was a beautiful young lady named Isabel. New to the City of Chicago, Isabel was in search of a Church community, much like the one she had found at Notre Dame. She searched far and wide, trying many many different churches until she stumbled across one called Saint Clement. There, she was greeted at the door by a priest who quickly introduced her to other Notre Dame graduates, hoping it would spark a connection. Among this group of ND grads was an imposter–

Isabel : DUN DUN DUN!

Narrator : –an eager young lad with a propensity to randomly sing. The boy, Justin, and Isabel, despite their missing connection, struck up a long and interesting conversation about the many offerings Chicago had. More specifically Justin repeatedly tried to get Isabel to join the running club, a suggestion she dismissed with polite laughter and an internal grimace.

Justin : That grimance was not at all internal

Narrator : Despite this rocky start, Isabel agreed to meet up with Justin–

Isabel : –and a friend–

Narrator : –at a wine bar later that week to continue getting to know one another. This led to many more walks–

Lianna : –which he considered dates and she had no idea.

Justin : We were seeing each other…

Narrator : Until one day, during a text conversation, he asked to “Come over and cook sometime”, to which she promptly responded “Like a date?”, confused because she was convinced he had a crush on her friend. And in the most eloquent response she had ever seen written in the history of humankind, he said, “Oh, haven’t I asked you out already?”

Isabel : Heheheh isn’t he so stupid?

Justin : I thought I was super clever… and it worked…
